πŸ’¬ Description

Heap is an event-based product analytics tool that can help product managers and developers can a better overview of how users interact with their products. Unfortunately, Heap does not support API extraction which means we can only export data from existing Heap reports.

πŸ€‘ Use Case

Use our Connector to bring product data into Less. We’ve worked with companies that import data on daily logins, downloads, app session length, onboarding time, and more from Heap reports.

πŸ› οΈ Setup

We’ve outlined how to set up Heap below. If you need help with anything, feel free to schedule a call with us on Calendly.

Step #1: Go to Heap settings

First, you need to navigate to the settings window in the lower left-hand corner. You can see this and the two next steps summed up in the screenshot below.

Step #2: Go to Projects

Go to Projects in the menu.

Step #3: Copy/Paste Environment ID

In the Projects and Environments tab, you can find your main projects and their ID. Above the screenshot in Step 1, the Environment IDs are the ones in brackets (). The Environment ID of the project labelled Production begins with 3382.

Copy/Paste the ID of the project you’re looking to export data from and insert it in the Less Connector configuration window where it says Environment ID.
